Our small family business is growing and we are seeking Denver’s best ambassadors to join our Denver Local Tours family. We are seeking friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic tour guides for the 2021 summer season. 

As a tour guide you will share your passion for the Mile High City and show tourists/locals exactly what this city has to offer. 

We are currently hiring guides for our 1.5 hour LoDo walking tour. This tour runs daily from 11am-12:30pm. Our ideal candidates will have lived in Denver for at least 1 year, have weekend availability, are extremely punctual, possess great storytelling skills, have a passion for meeting new people and creating unforgettable experiences.

As a small business we are looking for those individuals who want to grow with us. We are currently ranked the #2 tour company in Denver on TripAdvisor and are looking for those individuals who can take us to #1!

Job Responsibilities

  • Describe points of interest around the city to the group and answer any questions, which requires learning a comprehensive history of each check point.

  • Provide directions to visitors who would like to check out a specific area at a later date, and provide information related to lodging, food and other amenities

  • Monitor the behavior of the group, and ensure the tour runs smoothly and on time. 

  • Be willing to put your own spin on tour points, such as making jokes and providing insightful commentary.

  • Work with management to develop new tour routes based on sites visitors have expressed interest in.

  • Maintain a positive, friendly demeanor at all times.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Great public speaking skills.

  • Outgoing personality.

  • Punctual.

  • Flexible schedule to work on weekends.

  • Smart Phone required.

  • Ability to walk 1.5 miles.

  • Availability Friday- Sunday (2 hours 10:45am-12:45pm).

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience working as a tour guide.

Compensation

Independent contractor $30hr + tips
